Wallets and Checkbooks |

| A neighbor asked me if I could make a simple wallet for their grandson and put a chihuahua on it. This is the result. Another neighbor has a dog that looks just like this. SOLD |
The other grandson wanted a Rottweiler on his wallet. This and the Chihuahua were the first carvings of dogs that I had made. SOLD |

In addition to the wallets for the grandsons, I carved some for two grandaughters as well. I do not have photos of the completed work. Just the name side carvings. This was for Courtney. SOLD |
|
This was for Krista. I usually refer to fonts on my computer and tweak them as necessary for leatherwork. These are colored with spirit dyes. SOLD |
| I like maple leaves. This pattern contained a generic maple leaf which I changed to a sugar maple leaf and seed pod. SOLD |
I had made several wallets using floral designs and needed a break. I decided to add some color and a change of design. SOLD |
||
| Another departure from the typical floral design. It is a grizzly bear surrounded by bear prints. It is colored in a dark brown border with tan lacing. |
|
A Chuck Smith floral design. |
|
| This is a clutch purse I carved for my daughter. It is layed out flat to better view the carved back. It is colored with dye. Given as Gift |
I carved this for a nice lady named Barbara. She and David own Skidboot. She liked what I did on Skidboot and gave me a photo of here at an event. I used wild roses in my front yard for a pattern idea. This is a checkbook/clutchbook. It is colored with dye. SOLD |
||
It was Christmas time and I needed to create some gifts. I decided to combine practice and some small purse interiors I had on hand into Christmas gifts. These photos show the results. |
Not everyone likes roses. Someone suggested I do a checkbook with a horse on it. Given as Gift |

I live near Lake Tawakoni in Texas and so I thought I'd do something with a fish theme. This checkbook is embossed with a largemouth bass in an underwater scene. (The title and image point to different larger images of this checkbook). |
I had so much fun with the first bass, I had to go for another. Here is the second bass. This is colored with dye and acrylic paint. SOLD |
||
The third and final of the bass series of checkbooks. At least for now. I have modified the pattern a bit and changed the coloring. It is colored with both dyes and acrylics. |
This is a sample carving for the front of the Skidboot wallet. To see more of the Skidboot project, click the image. SOLD |
